The Metropolitan Breast Cancer Task Force has created a petition to increase funding for the Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (IBCCP). The IBCCP ensures all women in Chicago have access to annual pap smears and mammograms. In Illinois, the disparity in breast cancer mortality between white and black women is among the highest in the country. With adequate funding, this program will help guarantee that all women, of all races and ethnicities, receive the proper preventive care they need.
